I’d like to apologize for being in absentia.
Hi! It’s Charluxx.
Why was I away, where was I?
A few reasons, but no excuse: I left my position as a cook, got a contract that took me away from my computer... but mostly, it was mental exhaustion.
Between the restaurant, making music, the website and the social medias, I was working over 90 hours a week.
Something had to give. I needed the rest. I needed to walk in the forest with my cats. I needed to reflect.
In a way, this also served as a bit of a test... to see who’s out there, who’s following me.
These past few weeks were a chance for me to see what the response to my lacking presence would be. There wasn’t any. Then again, that’s modern “Online” life for you: we are all just fleeting distractions, soon and easily forgotten.
I was disappointed. I must admit that I expected more. I’ve mentioned my health scare of the last few years. I got no concern from any of you.
And I do want more from you people! My Tunisian friends, my Canadian fans, my Indian brethren, Brazilian, U.S., Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Turkish, Egyptian and British friends.
I’m trying to build a tribe of like minded people that can exchange ideas in a safe environment and even work on solutions to make this world of ours a better place. The place it could and should be.
Music is but one piece of the plan. Bloging and building a community is yet another.
Register your name and add your voice to mine. Let us dialogue, share, learn and take action.
With that in mind, I’m making a few changes to the blogs. Philosophy Fridays and Video Wednesdays stay unchanged, Artist Spotlight switches from weekly to monthly, but is joined in alternance by a new feature: Album of the month.
Let me remind you (and myself!) why I’m doing this...
I create songs to make people feel comfortable.
I create songs for you to have a safe place to be at.
I create songs to titivate you.
I create songs to titillate you.
I create songs to make you think.
I create songs to make you realize.
I create songs to make you move.
I create songs to make you groove.
I create songs to activate you.
I create songs to stimulate you.
I create songs to touch you.
I create songs to bring us together.
I create songs to inspire.
I create songs to sex you up.
I create songs about Love.
I create songs to spread the Love.
I create songs about justice, freedom, and equality for all.
I compose because I can.
I compose because I cannot help myself.
I compose because I Love it.
I sing songs to reach you and bring us closer.
I do this because I want to play a part in making this world a better place.
Back on track
I took this time away to prepare blogs in advance. I composed and recorded a lot of music... often two songs a day!
So, I’m back, I feel strong, I feel rested, and I cannot wait to share my creations with you!
Until then, stay groovy my friends.
Peace and Love,
